Don’t make any decisions about us without us. Young people understand the questions they have and the challenges that they face better than anyone else. Those that have been there and done that can speak more powerfully and do more good for other youth than anyone else.
If you’re a young person between the ages of 14 and 24, we want you to apply for a Youth Advisory Council position with Face to Face. As a council member, you will be responsible for helping us make better decisions about how to best serve young people in your community who are experiencing homelessness, or who may be at risk of becoming homeless.
We need you and your perspective. We want to hear what you have to say. And we will pay you for your time! You will be paid on an hourly basis for your time at a rate of $10 an hour.
What does a Youth Advisory Council member do?
You will work for us between 10 and 20 hours a month. Required work hours include hosting town hall meetings, facilitating and participating in meetings (4 – 5 a month), giving the leadership team and board of directors feedback as-needed, attend events to help you with your own professional development, help us with interviews of potential staff members, help us create events that interest youth, represent your point of you and that of over youth within Face to Face and at outreach events in the community.
