Panel Discussion on Raising Children of Color

June 17 @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

Since our first virtual event on June 3rd, we have received many responses from the community asking for more information. Thus began – Let’sTalk Face to Face: A Series of Conversations about Equity, Justice, Face to Face Youth, and Hope for the Future.
Face to Face is facilitating a deeply personal conversation among mothers raising children of color. The concerns any parent or parent-figure carries for the safety and life of their children are righteous and manyfold. Yet in the United States, raising children of color presents guardians with worries and concerns that guardians raising white children simply do not have to think about.
Mothers who raise children of color brave and navigate particular structural barriers so that their children can embrace who they are and grow into the best people they can be. You can hear about some of the barriers as well as the resiliency, joys, and strength only known to mothers who raise children of color. Tune into the next part of our Let’s Talk Face 2 Face series.
