Hello Face to Face Friend,
In four weeks, Minnesota comes together for Give to the Max Day, meanwhile I’m still feeling all the incredible community support from our recent Ethiopian dining experience. Seeing more than 100 people gather in solidarity with youth filled my heart with hope and renewed determination. It was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we unite for equity.
Face to Face is more than a resource center – we’re a homebase where young people fighting systems of oppression can always return. When shelter programs end, treatment concludes, or internships come to a close – we are still here, providing ongoing support and advocacy as youth start pursing their next goal while navigating systems that weren’t designed for their success.
When we come together – youth leaders, staff, donors, volunteers, board members, and partner organizations – we can transform our community. Every day at Face to Face, we witness the resilience of young people and the power of community coming together to transform systems that perpetuate homelessness, health inequities, and economic barriers.
Over the next four weeks, we’ll be sharing stories about our programs and partnerships, celebrating the network of Minnesota organizations working toward a more equitable state, in celebration of Give to the Max.
Mark your calendar for November 21 and stay tuned for more details on how you can join us transforming our community. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to be a part of this celebration of community.
With gratitude and hope for change,
Hanna Getachew-Kreusser
