Imagine trying to pay attention in class when you’re hungry. Think for a moment what it would be like to show up for school or to work when you haven’t had a place to shower in a few days. It’s very easy to take things like food and basic needs for granted until they’re gone. That’s the reality that many of our youth are currently living in.
Face to Face spends upwards of $80,000 per year on supplies like underwear, diapers, shampoo, and more. This is money that could be put to use providing other badly needed services! Holding a supply drive, or simply donating items from our needs-list yourself make a huge difference.
Our youth have specific needs; please donate only items on our lists.
Buying supplies online and shipping them to us through one of our supply registries is a quick and simple way to donate. You can always be confident that what you’ve purchased will be put to use because the items are pre-selected.
If you’re not sure if an item should be donated, please contact Joa Sevlie, community engagement and volunteer coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking for a way to give back this holiday season? Many of our clients are unstably housed or have newly moved into housing. We support them by finding housing and creating stability through our many services at the clinic location as well as SafeZone, our drop-in center for youth experiencing homelessness. In talking with our youth and staff, we have a better understanding of what the youth need most.
We are hosting a holiday party for our clients at Face to Face, where youth will take home a gift bag of treats and gift cards. This will allow them the chance to shop for something fun for themselves and give them a mode of transportation to do so. There are a few ways you can help youth this season.
Donate gifts for the holiday parties. We are looking for these items to give youth:
- Metro Transit gift cards ($10)
- Visa gift cards ($30)
Donate warm clothing. We will give out NEW winter clothing for our youth.
- Jackets (large and XL needed most, gently used is ok if in excellent condition)
- Sweatshirts (all genders)
- White t-shirts
Volunteer your time. We are looking for folks to help assemble gift bags, coordinate party details, and work at the party.
Please contact Joa Sevlie (email@example.com or 651-772-5591) to coordinate a donation drop-off or to learn about volunteering at holiday parties. Thank you for your generosity!

Bake up something warm!
Do you love to bake? Sign up here to make a casserole or hot dish on a monthly or one-time basis to serve youth at SafeZone, our drop-in center for youth experiencing homelessness. Our youth love warm comforts like mac and cheese bakes, tater tot hotdish, or rice casserole. Help warm them up AND fill them up! Questions? Contact Joa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Want to help? Sponsor a day of meals.
Our youth get two hot meals a day and leave with a bag lunch, and usually this is the only food they will eat all day. Unfortunately, we only have the budget for so many youth. When the food runs out, some youth go hungry. But you can help. Sign up to sponsor a day of meals at SafeZone, which costs roughly $25, and make sure no youth go hungry. You can even designate a day in honor of someone you love! Fill out the form below to sponsor, and we’ll reach out to you.
